Private lessons: you learn together
In private training, the trainer comes to your home and works with you and your dog as a team, right where the problems happen. If your dog jumps on guests in your hallway and ignores you in your elevator, there's real value in training exactly there.
Choose private lessons when you want to be hands-on, when the issues are specific to your home, or when your dog is anxious enough that staying in their own environment matters. The trade-off: progress depends on your homework. The trainer shows the way, but the daily repetitions are yours.
Board and train: immersion with a catch to avoid
In a board and train, your dog lives with the trainer for two to four weeks of structured, daily work. Habits change fast under that kind of consistency — there are no off days, no mixed signals, no "just this once."
